Creating a setting with multiple types of zombie. The weak, slow, mindless, infectious kind that can be killed by headshots are colloquially referred to as “Romeros” by residents of the setting. Does anyone see any copyright or other issues with this?

  1. You should be fine. The protagonist of Patrick Freivald’s zombie novels is a zombie named Romero. Not only has he experienced no issues; the most recent in the series is in the running for a Stoker award.
